The Blacksmith's Apprentices are a pair of NPCs found on The Metro, next to the Metro Smith, or at Memoria Station, at the bottom floor.

On The Metro, the Apprentices will take a Relic of your choosing to recycle into a Relic Hammer, which can be used to upgrade Relics for free at the nearby Blacksmith.

At Memoria Station, the Apprentices will trade Soul Coins for Materials, or vice versa.
